Camtasia is a great tool for video production, screen capturing, and video editing. Videos can be created for welcome messages, presentations, tutorials, or lessons. It is a paid software and is available for use in the CTL sound room.
It offers features such as:

- Annotations (features that draw attention to content such as arrows, blurring, highlighting, spotlighting)
- Quizzes
- Zoom and pan
- Cursor effects (highlight, magnify, spotlight)
- Text effects (animate text as it comes onto the screen)

Video Hosting Sites
Once you’ve created a video, in Camtasia or a different software, it can be uploaded to video hosting sites such as YouTube or Vimeo and then embedded in your Blackboard course for students to view.
YouTube
YouTube is a video hosting platform teachers and students can use to access, curate and share educational video content. It also provides a video editing tool that allows you to create and annotate your videos the way you want after it is uploaded.
Vimeo
Vimeo is a video hosting platform where the free version gives you an upload quota of 500 MB per week.
